Cardpont
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Cardpont is built to keep your work on your own drives. This page explains the little data we do handle, and why. Cardpont is made by Roku Films (KVK 64916987) in the Netherlands.
The app
- Your footage never leaves your Mac. Cardpont copies between your own cards and drives; nothing is uploaded.
- Licence check: when you activate a licence, your licence key and your Mac's name are sent to Lemon Squeezy to check the key. The app re-checks it now and then, about once a week, when there is internet.
- Update check: the app asks cardpont.com whether there is a new version. That request contains your IP address and app version, like any web request; we don't store it with anything else.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
The website
- Waitlist: if you join, we store your email address, language, the date and, if you came through someone's link, that referral. We use it only to email you about the Cardpont launch and the founders price. Every email has an unsubscribe link, which deletes your entry.
- Support form: your name, email address and message are sent to us so we can answer you.
- Emails are sent through SendGrid. The website and our small mail server run on Fly.io in Amsterdam.
- The site uses fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to load them. If you arrive through a referral link, the referral is remembered in your browser (local storage) until you join the waitlist. There are no tracking cookies.
Buying
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver and support your licence.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time through the support form. We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or until it's no longer needed after the launch, and support messages as long as needed to help you.
